Blackburn Rovers are trailing Bulgarian youngster Ivelin Popov, if newspapers reports are to be believed anyway.
The suggestion is that Rovers manager Mark Hughes has flown the 20-year-old over from Bulgaria for talks with the view of a summer transfer to Ewood Park from his current club Liteks Lovech. A quick search on the player saw me find out that he is understood to a fiery character, and one that isn’t afraid to have an outburst on or off the pitch, with him also known as a womaniser!!! As for his footballing ability he is understood to be a winger in the mould of David Bentley, and can also play as a supporting striker.
The Bulgarian International (he made his debut last year) has previously trained with Feyenoord for several months and was mooted with a move to Manchester City in the January transfer window.
