The arrival of former Liverpool man Spearing from Bolton was something some questioned – one game does not give you all the answers but his debut against Fulham was positive enough.

Was the fact that he signed from Bolton held against him? Maybe, maybe not but some views might have changed after that two-one win, which we desperately needed at Ewood….

Given the options of those involved, be that as part of the starting XI or having come into the game to make the impact as a sub (obviously a player that comes off the bench to be voted as such would have!), a Blackburn Man of the Match from that win has been found.

Taking into account the title and the introduction to this I think it’ll be quite obvious that this was Spearing, who with 38% of the voting gained this ahead of Conway, Marshall and Brown who each gained 11% of the voting.

Poll findings:-

Spearing 38%
Conway 11%
Marshall 11%
Brown 11%
Evans 5%
Lowe 5%
Hanley 5%
Kilgallon 5%
Olsson 5%
Steele 4%
Sub:-Taylor 0%
Sub:-Cairney 0%
Rhodes 0%

Would Spearing wining the MotM vote be one that you would agree with?

The only way to let us know would be by having your say below – also cast a vote on the latest poll just to your right that is looking for views on what way we think the season will now go following that win and the closure of the transfer window.

Question being asked, and the options given, are as follows:-

Having kept players can Rovers mount a play-off push?

IMHO yes and we will!!
I don’t think so, too much ground lost!!
