Blackburn’s Championship season continued with a nil-nil draw against Nottingham Forest at Ewood Park on Monday.

The woodwork denied both sides, Blackburn in the first half with Ben Marshall having a shot deflected against the crossbar with Nottingham Forest ‘keeper Dorus de Vries beaten whereas Rovers had Jason Steele to thank in injury-time when he turned a Matt Mills header onto the post.

Another good Blackburn chance (in the second half) saw Fode Koita have a header saved by de Vries with the Rovers striker heading straight at the ‘keeper he also shot over from distance.

Before Marshall’s effort against the bar both Hope Akpan and Jordan Rhodes had chances that went close whereas the only real save Steele had to make (aside from his fine injury-time one from Mills) was a straightforward one from Ben Osborn in the second half.

A point meant Blackburn stayed 11th but extended the unbeaten run to eight-matches with Rovers also unbeaten under Paul Lambert.
