Stats: Blackburn Rovers v Peterborough

|

Blackburn Rovers welcomed Peterborough United to Ewood Park last night for the midweek League One clash.

With midfielder Bradley Dack being named the League One Player of the Year at the EFL awards for the second time, he celebrated his personal achievement by driving Blackburn closer to promotion this year with two goals in the second half of the game.

Dack’s first tied the scores up as Charlie Mulgrew was credited with an own goal in the 44th minute of the first half. His second strike in stoppage time was the cherry on top as we saw Danny Graham give us a 2-1 advantage in the 83rd minute.

Dack’s 18th goal of the campaign stretched our lead over third-placed Shrewsbury Town to eight points and we are now joint top with Wigan Athletic on 90 points for the season. Wigan do obviously have a game in hand on us at this stage but the aim was to get back to scoring ways and put the pressure on and we achieved that.

On to Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday evening.
