Summer move for Schmeichel?

Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce is reported in the gossip rags this morning to be lining up a summer move for Kasper Schmeichel.

Allardyce wants to provide more competition for current number one Paul Robinson and with Mark Bunn likely to be sold to Sheffield United in the summer, Big Sam sees the Notts County keeper as the answer… apparently.

Schmeichel was signed by Notts County in the summer for very large money (£12,000 a week wages) for a League Two club, this was during the Munto Finance debacle at the club as they attempted to become a League Two Pompey.

But Notts now live within their means and have deemed that £12,000 a week is too much to fork out and will look to sell in the summer.

Rovers are apparently keen to sign the man who is the best keeper in League Two.
