Phil Jones has handed Blackburn a timely boost by making a much faster than expected recovery from his leg injury sustained before Christmas.
Jonesy was expected to be out of action for the rest of the season but the word on the street is that he could even be back within the month.
Steve told Rovers.co.uk – ‘Phil is back out on the pitch working with Dave Fevre so he’s making good progress,’
‘He’s coming on quicker than we thought, so hopefully in three or four weeks he’ll be available for selection.
‘That is another great boost, as he was unfortunate to pick up the injury that he had, but he’s a young man and he’s healing quick and that is something we are really looking forward to, getting him back in the fold.’
The big question Steve faces is where to play Phil, central midfield or central defence?
Either way this is blinding news.
