Suspension Won’t Get Bentley Down

Blackburn Rovers midfielder David Bentley might have scored two superb goals on Saturday but there was a downside to that win over Newcastle, Bentley picked up his fifth booking of the season.

This fifth booking picked up in the 3-1 win means he will now serve an automatic one match suspension, but despite this, which now means he will miss the Premier League clash with West Ham United Bents accepts that he will pick up bookings (even unwarranted ones) along the way so has accepted this and is not too downhearted with his suspension.

Bentley told the Official Blackburn Rovers Website “You have to expect that when you go out there, some of the bookings I’ve received have probably not been bookings.

“But it is part and parcel of the game, you know before you go out there, I’m fine with that
.”

Bents will be a MAJOR absentee against West Ham (especially as the Hammered have become a nemesis of Rovers!) but this enforced absence will give someone else a chance (which isn’t entirely a bad thing) even though we would all prefer Bents to have been playing I’m sure!
