Marvin Emnes has impressed with Blackburn since arriving on loan from Swansea with the former Middlesbrough forward set for an initial stay until 15th January.

He’s happy to stay though if an extension is wanted by Blackburn and his parent club allow this, with it likely Owen Coyle will want a loan extension as the Rovers boss has spoken glowingly of him in the past and how he’ll look to this in the New Year.

Emnes was allowed to leave the Liberty Stadium by former boss Francesco Guidolin with him since replaced by Bob Bradley with the striker telling the Lancashire Telegraph his only focus is on what he’s doing at Ewood Park.

‘There`s always people that are trying to get into your head and say stuff about you have to come back in January and try to get your chance again with Swansea. But I`m not bothered about that. I`m just focused on being here, playing games week in week out, and when it comes to the last day of my transfer then we will see what`s going to happen.’

Adding.

‘I`ve been at Swansea for two years now and we`ve had different managers. For now I`m playing football again so I`m not going to think about what`s going to happen at Swansea.’

First-team football is what the former Dutch U21 international wants, he’s getting that with Blackburn so he’s more than happy.

As he was given his chance by Coyle he’s prepared to show loyalty to him (and Blackburn) and extend his loan beyond the initial half-season agreement, at least he’s open to this with him concluding.

‘I`ve still got a couple of months here with Blackburn and I`m enjoying my time here. I get along with the lads, so I`m not really thinking about what`s going to happen in January – I`m just focused on the games that are coming up. We can always talk about it (extending Rovers loan) – I am open to everything. They have given me a chance to play here so I can always listen and see what we can do.’
