Following earlier reports that the Bahraini Consortium of WGA has been forced to close, representatitives of Mr Syed have come out and strongly denied these claims.

Mr Syed’s Spokeperson, Julia Theim, quotes

‘No he hasn’t, we do deny that’ in response to whether the company has been asked to close trading. (Courtesy of the Lancashire Telegraph).

Ms Theim continues by saying that the Bahraini branch of the organisation has minimal relationship with the representatives in deep discussion with the Walker Trust. The negotations appear to still be going well and on track for a healthy take over…

In other news,

Sas and Oziroversfan are still on the lose after their Australian Federal Bank bust. The Australian Police are rumoured to be lurking around the Lancashire region, with witnesses claiming the two dropped a rather large cheque at the front gates of Ewood Park….

  • Awesome work Sas!!! This is good news but as metal says the true test will come in a few weeks time… I like how he has been quick to pour scourn on this story, it could well be some made rubbish for all we know and get told!!!

  • I am sure something has gone a bit wrong somewhere, that cannot be denied but sometimes these things can get blown out of proportion which seems to have happened here.

  • This all rings true with what Mick said on the podcast last week, there’s no record of him being involved in any company anywhere. On the other hand, there is very little substance in the article from the BBC, only that they have been told to stop trading, but not why they have been told. You would have thought if a company as big as this one allegedly is had been shut down, you would at least know why.

  • Not too worried about this, It is well publicised the amount of dough he has at his disposal and providing he does what he says for rovers, then it will be happy days
