It’s something that is now beginning to look an unlikely scenario but if a place in the Championship play-offs are to be achieved we’ll need to win this weekend.

Blackburn, having secure a place in the FA Cup fifth round last weekend by beating Swansea lost in the league to Derby in midweek – we’re at Ewood on Saturday afternoon with Fulham the visitors.

Rudy Gestede was forced off by injury in the defeat to Derby, he’s looking a doubt along with Tom Cairney (groin) but Grant Hanley (concussion) is available.

We’ve not won since Christmas with Gary Bowyer calling for this ‘run of bad form to end’,this has been boosted by Jay Spearing’s arrival from Bolton….

Fulham will have Scott Parker (ankle) back but Sean Kavanagh, Fernando Amorebieta (both knee) and Tim Hoogland (hernia) are out again with Ross McCormack and Hugo Rodallega poised to return after starting the FA Cup tie on the bench.

The fading play-offs hopes will all but die if nothing short of three-points is secured!
