Henk Ten Cate has been appointed as the new boss of Panathinaikos, which ends speculation he may take over at the mighty Rovers.

The Dutchman arrived at Stamford Bridge as an assistant manager to Avram Grant last October after Jose Mourinho was sacked.

However, just days after being assured his job was safe, he was sacked from Chelsea himself. Which led to the media to think he was in a good position to take over from Hughes after he left in a ‘no way money motivated move’ to Man City.

However, he has now taken charge of Greek club Panathinaikos, signing a two year deal.

The search goes on my friends. The two names left are Paul Ince and Sam Allardyce, I refuse to acknowledge Steve McClaren… I just can’t do it.

Big Sam is now the bookies favourite whilst Ince remains the fan’s choice…

All together now –
