Skysports.com is reporting the Blackburn Rovers midfielder Aaron Mokoena is set to sign a new contract to remain at Ewood Park.
South African International Mokoena, nicknamed “the Axe” (what a great nickname that is!) would have been out of contract in the summer and therefore would have been free to speak to other clubs in January is due to sign a new two-and-half year deal to see him remain with Rovers until 2009 at least.
Mokoena (who turned 26-years-old on Saturday) arrived at from Belgian side Genk at the beginning of 2005 following a short trail period along with Ryan Nelsen.
