The Axe Wants Out?

Blackburn Rovers midfielder Aaron Mokoena is preparing for a January move away from Ewood Park if reports today on Football365.co.za are to be believed.

Just days after manager Paul Ince has praised Mokoena and Zurab Khizanishvili for their patience and lack of moaning at not playing as regularly as they would like the Axe is understood to be preparing to move on in search of first-team football, with it also claimed that talks with other clubs have already taken place?!?!

Mokoena is quoted in the South African media as saying: “To be fair, there are quite a few talks with a few clubs so I am hoping to have games come January either with Blackburn or any team that is interested.

“Actually I would love to see myself playing towards the Confederations (Cup) at club level and obviously towards the World Cup at club level.

The Axe has got back into the Rovers side recently but his chances are always likely to be limited when first-team regulars are fit again so a January exit is one that I personally expect.
