The end for Kean is nigh

It really can’t get much worse right now.

After the depressing 2-1 defeat to Bolton that saw Rovers decide to actually play for a whole 25 minutes of the available hour and a half Rovers hit a new low.

Bottom at Christmas in a position that has seen only one side in donkeys years survive, with owners that don’t seem to care and a manager whose last dalliance with reality is a distant memory.

The players apparently back the manager but played Bolton with all the motivation of an overweight drunk in a display that got what it merited again – nothing.

But with the pressure building and the situation at breaking point word is out that Steve Kean’s job is finally in the balance and that the first in a long line of problems could finally be addressed as early as today.

Rumours are out that Venky’s are lining up Mark Hughes as a short term replacement with Avram Grant and Dave Jones also in contention.

Throw into the mix that one of the strong sources around Ewood Park confirming that the hated Rovers boss is on his way with the major problem being convincing someone to takeover at the club when so much needs to be done to restore something close to normality.

Stay tuned because despite Kean’s ‘shocked if I get sacked’ comments his job is nowhere near as safe as he would have you believe.
