Wake up on Monday morning and you expect to have some uplifting news to power you through the day.

But in Rovers land, it’s fairytale time with news this morning that Steve Kean is weighing up a move for former Seville and current Sao Paolo and Brazil star Luis Fabiano.

Quite how Kean is planning to persuade Luis to swap the tropical climate of Brazil for the brass monkey’s existence of Blackburn is one of life’s many great questions.

But it looks like he is going to try.

The Daily Mail is reporting – ‘Blackburn boss Steve Kean is exploring an ambitious move for Brazilian striker Luis Fabiano.

The Ewood Park chief wants a big name to help attract other players to the club, but may face a hard sell to convince the 30-year-old former Tottenham target to move from Sao Paolo.’

If Kean can pull it off then he really is the greatest salesman of the 21st Century.
