Blackburn’s Championship season continued with a draw against QPR at Loftus Road on Saturday.

A point at QPR, as Blackburn came back from a goal-down in a one-one draw, wasn’t enough to move Rovers off the foot of the table but did prevent a fifth defeat.

Chery’s scored a fine opener for QPR around the midway point of the second half when he curled into the top corner from 25-yards with a freekick, which he had won after being fouled by Marshall.

Defeat was on for Blackburn again until Evans, who had come on for the injured debutant Mulgrew, crossing into Gallagher with the Southampton loanee earning a point on 73-minutes.

Here’s a round up of the Championship action from the other matches played, with one still to take place.

Sun 11 Sep 2016 – Championship
Aston Villa v Nottm Forest 13:15

The return to Championship action, after the international break, saw Reading see off Ipswich two-one on Friday to get the weekend underway.

Brentford beaten Brighton two-nil at the Amex Stadium with the Seagulls suffering a second successive defeat by the same scoreline too with the league leaders winning once again as Huddersfield won one-nil at Leeds.

The winning of the Manager of the Month award for Huddersfield’s David Wagner wasn’t a jinx with that win at Elland Road keeping the Terriers’ early season form going and them sitting pretty at the top.

Newcastle’s winning run also went on with a win against Brighton before the break followed up with a two-nil win at Derby at the iPro Stadium with the Rams’ early season struggles ongoing under Nigel Pearson.
