Thompson Set To Drop A Division

After being released by Bolton Wanderers, former Blackburn Rovers midfielder David Thompson looks like he will have to drop a Division to find himself a club for the coming season.

The 29-year-old, who has suffered horrendously with injuries over the years still feels he can do a job in the Premiership, but with little interest in him it looks as though Thompson will have to return to the second tier of English football, and he will have no shortage of offers with four teams interested (Charlton Athletic, Norwich City, Stoke City, and most strongly Plymouth Argyle.)

The former England International has still had a good career, but has been cruelly robbed of an even better one due to injuries, but I (and I’m sure everyone else here?!?!) wish him well for the future. Wherever he goes no doubt he will do a GREAT job.
