Vital Blackburn’s most recent Poll asked “What would you do with Morten Gamst Pedersen?” The majority feel he should be dropped.

For the vast majority of the season the highly talented Morten Gamst Pedersen just hasn’t delivered, be it merely playing in a struggling side, being hampered with his own injury/injuries or simply taking his place for granted? I don’t know, but the simple truth he isn’t delivering and as such 59% he should be dropped in place of Sergio Peter, and I’d agree.

37% say he should carry on playing, which you can understand as he may only need that little spark to be right back to where we know he can be. Maybe the goal against Newcastle United in his much better second half showing could do just that?

Only 4% felt that Rovers should indeed cash in on the Norwegian.

So in summary
Carry on playing him – 37%
Drop him and give Sergio Peter a go – 59%
Cash in on him – 4%

As we continue of quest to put together the Greatest Ever Rovers Squad the current poll is focusing on central-defence asking, “Greatest Ever Rovers Squad – Centre-backs ” Remember the top four get in.

  • I’m a huge fan of Pedersen but don’t think any player should be assured of a place and if he isn’t delivering (carrying an injury or not) I think someone else should get a chance. Maybe his goal has earned him one final chance but if he doesn’t deliver them Sergio HAS to get a go. I’d hate to have to handle this situation though I know that.

  • Maybe he should be dropped and then he will know he has competition and start showing what he can do to get back in the team.

  • One positive out of the wreckage against the toon,Pedersens best performance of the season, not a bad goal either, against a quality keeper.

  • As I say I say I think its earned him a little reprieve as he did put in a good second half showing was a superb goal, HOPEFULLY this will see him kick on.
