Today it is the turn of the Daily Mail

Well if we are to believe recent press musings then Rovers really are up a back alley naked with our pants pulled down.

If it isn’t one paper telling us that we owe money to a bank and that we are defaulting on payments (say hello Daily Mirror) it is today’s offerings from the Daily Mail.

Apparently we are indeed financially on verge of collapse and to buy anybody we need to have a fire sale.

What’s a fire sale I hear you say? Well for any of you that haven’t watched Die Hard 4 let me hand you over to the Daily Mail to explain.

The Daily Mail is reporting from it’s article ‘Blackburn Rovers rocked as manager Kean is forced to hold fire sale’ – ‘Kean may be forced to sanction the £8million move (for Chris Samba), despite Samba signing a new five-year deal only last season.

Blackburn owners Venky’s are bringing in cost-cutting measures to reduce their bank overdraft, as reported in Sportsmail yesterday, and the impact is already being felt by the under-pressure boss.

Midfielder Keith Andrews may also be off-loaded, with Portsmouth and Nottingham Forest keen on him, while Blackburn are desperate to find a buyer for El- Hadji Diouf, after his recent unauthorised absence.’

So a fire sale ladies and gentlemen is having to sell a player who the media are begging to join Arsenal or Spurs, a player who most fans would drive to his next club and a player the club are desperately trying to get shot of (for free) to anyone that will have him.

Brilliant, just breathtakingly brilliant.
