Vital Blackburn’s most recent Poll asked you “Is Andy Todd A 1st team player In Light Of Early Season Performances?” Most felt Todd might have had his day?

Although not as unanimous, as it once appeared the poll could have been, it appears that most of you, more than half of you that voted, 61% in fact feel that Andy Todd is indeed no longer a first team player at Rovers.

Todd’s opening performances against Portsmouth and Everton seemed to suggest that maybe Todd wasn’t quite up to the standards required anymore? Since these games he has not featured and would request a transfer having been dropped by Mark Hughes from the starting eleven to face Chelsea.

Will Todd be given another chance to stake a claim as 39% would hope or does Sparky share the opinion of the 61% who feel that he is no longer up to first team duty? Only time will tell?

So in summary
Yes – 39%
No – 61%

The current poll, having seen Rovers draw with Salzburg 2-2, and then beat Manchester City 4-2 is asking, “Will it be three unbeaten come Saturday evening?” after Rovers have faced Middlesbrough.

As for what you think, cast your vote, and why not have your say on the latest polls findings…

  • I’d think that 61% are right I’m sorry to say. Look out for an article on Todd (as a result of a users enquiry) probably posted on Friday.

  • Yeah I think he has had his day unfortunately. Especially after watching Zurab recently who looks like a more composed centre back.

  • I like Zurab but think even he may well have a battle to retain a central defensive role? He wouldn’t drop out the team though I don’t think. I can’t see Todd going to Portsmouth to be honest, I don’t think he’d be good enough for them either?

  • I think Todd has had his day and Oojer should be given time to settle but at the min I think Todd would add some grit to the backline, maybe ahead of Zurab who looks dodgy at times

  • You can see why there would be an argument to recall Todd but the thought of two 30 something’s both with less pass than a snail frightens me! Todd has been a great servant to the club but think his days may be numbered.

  • i think todd is to slow, his tackling has been lacking and he hasnt marshalled the back like he used to so far this season. maybe if we got souness to slate him for a bit he might play better. i hope nelson gets fit soon, i had a nightmare last night that we had sold him to schalke for nothing!! thank god it was a dream!!

  • I’ll have a word with Souness and see what I can get him to do! Thank god and everyone else that your Nelsen dream was just a nightmare.

  • Schalke? That is random. Well lets hope you don’t surprise everyone with your reading of the future SGL and Nelsen is here for years to come.

  • That would be my inital thought roversman, quite an unusual first choice! SGL obviously had Germany on his mind in general at that time?
