After a long drawn out process, the important men in London were finally convinced that Radosav Petrovic, a Serbian International, was deserved of a Work Permit, becoming Blackburn Rovers’ second major signing of the transfer window

Career

At the age of 20, Petrovic was snapped up by Serbian outfit, FK Partizan, sealing a 5 year contract. Radosav made his debut for the club surprisingly in a Champions League qualifier and scored his first club goal in the Serbian Cup Final of 2009.

In the 2009-10 season, Petrovic chipped in with 7 important goals to help Partizan seal the League title. An enforcer on the pitch, Radosav showed he was not afraid to use his size and strength, as well as showing the attributes of being a box to box midfielder, he was named in the Serbian Superliga Team of the Year

2010-11 was another stellar season for the Serb, notching up 9 goals from his central midfield role and again finding his name in the Serbian Superliga Team of the Year.

He did not just shine on the domestic stage, with Petrovic knocking up 19 International caps at the ender age of 22. And so the clubs came knocking, with Vitesse of Holland almost sealing a deal before it crumbled at the final hurdle. In stepped Blackburn Rovers to seal the deal, with Radosav sealing a Permit and transfer on the 9th of August for an indisclosed sum, rumoured to be between 3 and 4 million pounds
