Transfer gossip round up

You can tell it’s the start of the silly season as I have no idea where to start!

You have to love transfer windows sometimes.

Right from the top, Keith Andrews is set to depart Rovers permanently in the next few days with (depending on who you believe) Wigan or Aston Villa his favoured destination.

It is believed that Rovers have not asked for a fee for Keith but merely to take on his wage demands which are pretty hefty for someone who jogs and closes down space.

But with Andrews super keen to leave expect him to be gone by the start of next week.

Next up is Mauro Formica who has been told he cannot leave on loan as he would fetch actual money (yey!) but is valued at around £4.5 million by Rovers which may put off a fair few clubs given we only paid £3.5 million for him in the first place and the player is desperate to leave… notice a pattern here?

QPR seem to be very keen on taking the mickey out of Blackburn Rovers and a day after their £6 million bid for Chris Samba was laughed off they are back and this time it is rumoured that they are after Yakubu and are bidding £1.5 million for his services.

That’s £1.5 million for a player that we paid £1.5 million for and he’s scored 13 goals in 15 games. Predictably this will result in more chuckles and comedy.

On the subject of Samba Spurs are also after him and are rumoured to be lining up a £12 million double swoop for the big man and want away Junior Hoilett.

£12 million is the figure the Mail seems to think the North Londonders will offer and I’d imagine if that was just for Samba alone then they’d be in… But it’s not it’s for Junior as well so it will be rejected.

Spurs would be better off just trying for Hoilett as Samba has apparently had a massive £15 million price tag put on his head and rightly so.

So it’s all going off and in the aftermath of all this it is known that the club has at least 3/4 signings lined up, they are just waiting for the money to come in before swooping elsewhere.

Sit tight, this IS about to get interesting.
