Vital Blackburn’s most recent Poll asked you “What was Novembers top Goal?” You voted unsurprisingly in favour of Tugay.

The more popular of two world-class Tugay strikes in this month with 69% was his superb strike against Tottenham Hotspur.

Tugay also finished as runner up for a strike against FC Basel in the UEFA Cup, which was surely closer in quality to his winning goal than the 27% suggests.

Benni McCarthy’s goal in the same match following a fine move came joint third with Francis Jeffers’ penalty (also in the same Basel match) gained 2% each.

So having won the Midfielder of the Month poll, the Player of the Month poll (for the second month running) Tugay also wins the Goal of the Month for November with this click here strike against Spurs in the Premiership on 19th November 2006.

Two superb strikes were in a way unfortunate for Tugay as they were both goals worthy of winning any Goal of the Month competition, with the runner up (as I say) surely closer in quality than the gap suggests? Two goals worthy of Goal of the Season also, which the Spurs strike will without doubt be a contender for.

Tugay v Spurs (h) – 69%
