Rovers are again being linked with Tuncay of Stoke City – one season after being touted with a move for the Turkishman.

The Daily Mirror in particular seem convinced that Rovers are going to make a move with £4-5 million being the figure quoted.

Tuncay was only used a handful of times in Stoke’s campaign last season, which was a surprise as he technically a quality player.

But talk of a rift with the ever placid Tony Pulis has led to a move from Stoke looking all the more inevitable.

Worth it? Or just paper talk?

  • I’d like him.. but i think its just paper talk as per usual.. hes not really a “big sam type player” is he..

  • More attacking than Tugay, more of a hole player. Good player but we need a poacher to get the ugly goals, Tuncay won’t do that

  • Too much to pay for him when we get Guti, they are playing the same position as I see it :-)…..cheers

  • Does Tony Pulis get on with anybody?? Good player but doesn’t score enough… but maybe enough to outscore Jason Roberts. not sure he’s worth that much though either.

  • risenholt: I would think Guti would play a more “tugay” like role, infront of the back 4, playing a defensive creative midfielder, not 100% on that tho!! i’d quite like Tuncay to join Rovers.. but at that price.. he is just not worth it.. he doesnt score enough for me.. at 2 million.. i would seriously concider it!
