With the extra European games Blackburn Rovers will now be playing at Ewood Park this season, two more of them at least the club have thought of a way to help reduce costs once again…

Season ticket holders are being given the chance to get tickets for the home ties with Basel on Thursday 2nd November with an 8pm kick off and Nancy on Thursday 13th December with a 7:45pm kick off for a one off payment of just £15 for adults and £5 for Children! So that’s just £7.50 and £2.50 per top quality UEFA Cup game per adult and child respectively.

This special offer price isn’t just in certain areas of the ground either it is anywhere within Ewood Park. With extra games adding to the costs of an already expensive season at these prices if you can travel and you are a season ticket holder it’s a bargain.

It is great to see the club coming up with such offers and will surely be one greatly appreciated by the fans. Chairman John Williams said:

Our season tickets holders are extremely important to us because they have invested their hard earned money into the club.

Season ticket holders will be able to watch two top class European games for the equivalent of just £7.50 a match!

Whatever we do in terms of pricing for individual games, whether it is in the Premiership like against Bolton, or the UEFA Cup we are mindful of the valued contribution season ticket holders make.

The number of season ticket holders has risen for the first time in four seasons and we continue to appreciate their much valued support and look at ways they can get maximum benefit from being season ticket holders.”

Rovers’ manager Mark Hughes added:

The fans were magnificent in the Salzburg game and the atmosphere was incredible. Their support does give the players a lift and it would be fantastic if they can recreate the same atmosphere during these two home European games.”

Although you also have the costs of travelling involved which you have to take into account, but if you have a couple of you going or a group if some are season ticket holders and some aren’t you could always pool together and then divide the total the tickets amount to (both season ticket values and non season ticket values combined) between the lot of you.

For example if one person had a season ticket and two of you didn’t if the tickets were priced at £15 each per game it would come to £75 for six tickets for both games. You then simply divide this amount equally between the three of you meaning you each pay £25 for your tickets to both games so £12.50 per game. It may work out to more than the £7.50 per game you would pay if you went on your own but your friends of family get cheaper tickets, help you reduce travelling costs and also gives the club more support Bob’s you uncle…
