United The Turning Point For Vogel

Blackburn Rovers midfielder Johann Vogel comfortably had his best match for Rovers so far against Manchester United last Saturday evening, now he says the best is yet to come.

Vogel has only played three matches for Rovers, but against Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool he didn’t really make that much of an impression, but he did shine against Man United last Saturday. After failing to play a competitive match for 10-months prior to his first Rovers start against Tottenham you could understand why the Switzerland International might be a little rusty, but the change that was seen in his fitness in just a week between the Liverpool and Manure matches was visibly noticeable and he will get better and better with time.

Vogel told the Official Blackburn Rovers Website: “I played against Tottenham, Liverpool and now Manchester United – three very difficult games and after 10 months without playing.

“But I think I’ve made a step forward for the future and that is good.

“Physically I can be better and with the ball also, but against United I think it was a good performance like all of the team and that is positive for the future
.”

The 30-year-old is a world-class performer and you don’t lose that over night, the more he plays the better he will become and next season (with a full Pre-Season under his belt) we will see the player somewhere to that that AC Milan had, and a player than Manure tried to sign a few times. Yet ANOTHER masterstroke by Mark Hughes with his signing.
