Here at Vital Blackburn we’ve been voting on numerous awards to cap what has been a fairly disastrous season for the blue and white halves of Rovers.

The votes were cast through the course of last week and winners were decided on a majority basis.

The first category to be decided was the Rovers goal of the season with numerous strikes being bandied about as the best.

Ruben Rochina’s effort at Craven Cottage got a few nods as well as Yakubu’s first in a quartet of goals at home to Swansea at Ewood Park.

Even Scott Dann’s nut busting equaliser at home to West Brom got a shout.

But the winner was fairly decisive and it was… Junior Hoilett’s strike at home to Norwich.

A real peach of a strike that angled into the top corner from 25 yards out as the Canadian cut in from the left hand side. A worthy winner, even eclipsing his strike against the Canaries at Carrow Road.

Well done Junior!
