VB Awards – Young Player of the Season

Here at Vital Blackburn we’ve been voting on numerous awards to cap what has been a fairly disastrous season for the blue and white halves of Rovers.

The votes were cast through the course of last week and winners were decided on a majority basis.

The award we next voted for was the VB Rovers Young Player of the Season and in a rare bright spot for our lads this is a category that saw a few options available to choose from.

With the Youth Academy lads barging their way to another cup final and winning a title there were some votes for the likes of Raheem Hanley and with Grant Hanley AND Adam Henley forcing their way into the first team they also attracted a fair bit of interest.

But the winner with over half the votes was… Jason Lowe.

Jason enjoyed a breakout season in the first team this year after a few isolated games the season before.

Initially deployed as a central midfielder he found a second adopted home in the right back spot playing the majority of games there in the absence of Michel Salgado.

A bundle of energy, effort and passion. Hard to argue with this.

Well done Mr Lowe.
