Venky’s have confirmed their commitment to the Rovers cause as criticism mounts on their regime and their activities since taking over the club in November.

The Rao family have been receiving an endless amount of stick for their dealings in sacking Sam Allardyce, hiring Steve Kean, contradicting their own public statements and for initiating a period of change at the club.

Fears of relegation also loom large over Blackburn at the moment and whilst they acknowledge that they do worry about this they are as committed to the club as one could hope.

‘Of course we are worried but we have to play well and get together as a team, and we have to get out of the situation’ – Venkatesh Rao told the Lancashire Telegraph.

‘You have to win sometimes and you have to lose sometimes, but we have to come out of this situation, that’s very sure.

‘But we are always positive and we will be positive.

‘We are absolutely committed to the club and that won’t be changing any day.’
