Venky’s have dismissed reports that the club is for sale after reports emerged in the Sunday People that the Indian family had been searching in private with the help of a broker for a willing buyer.

Despite the claims, the impending threat of relegation to the Championship and the revolt from fans, director Vineeth Rao has stepped out with a denial.

Rao, who is based in Blackburn told the Lancs Telegraph – “It is not true, none of that. We have no plans to sell Blackburn Rovers, none at all.

“Even if the club got relegated, which is not in our thoughts, we are not planning to sell.”

Let’s just examine that last sentence… relegation is ‘not in our thoughts?’

Pretty much tells you all you need to know about how switched on the Venky’s crew are.
