Blackburn Rovers haven’t wasted any time in setting up for next season and have started by releasing details of next season’s season ticket prices.

And the good news is that once again Rovers are set to be best the value tickets in the league and still one of the cheapest throughout the 92 league clubs.

Whilst there is a very mild increase based on last year’s prices the value for money throughout the 4 stands is still top draw and it allays fears that new owners Venky’s were set to hike prices.

Rovers official website has confirmed the pricing scheme – ‘Rovers have announced season ticket prices for the 2011-12 Barclays Premier League campaign and once again they are the most affordable in the country.

The club are offering adult season tickets in the Riverside and Blackburn End stands at just £225 – that’s less than £12 per game!

Juniors (aged under-16) can buy season tickets for just £85 – that’s less than £4.50 a game!

Brand new for next season, Rovers are also introducing a Family Season Ticket, as the club look to encourage as many families down to Ewood Park as possible.

This new initiative, which is exclusive to the Blackburn End Family Stand, will give family groups 10% off their season ticket price* and offers a child-friendly environment, kids’ meal deals and a revamped Family Lounge.

The unreserved seating section in the WEC Darwen End, which has been a major factor in the much-improved atmosphere at Ewood Park, also returns.

Having listened to the fans, the club is now offering a 19-game option in the Darwen End – also at £225 – as well as the innovative 16-game ticket for just £165. Fans opting for all 19 games will be able to relocate to other stands for the three extra matches.

Rovers’ managing director Tom Finn said: ‘Our strategy of offering the most affordable football in the Premier League has proved particularly successful in recent seasons, both in terms of atmosphere/attendances and our impressive record here at Ewood Park.

‘Our owners, who have exciting plans for the future of the club, are keen to continue the pricing policy which has been so welcomed by fans.

‘Our season ticket prices represent incredible value in comparison not only to our top-flight rivals, but within football as a whole.

‘In trying times financially for fans, we felt that it was hugely important to show continuity in our pricing structure, as well as to reward the supporters for their superb backing again this season.’

Season tickets will go on sale from 9am this Thursday (May 26th). All current season ticket holders will receive renewal packs by post from the middle of next week, though those wishing to renew earlier can do so from Thursday, either online at www.onerovers.co.uk, or in person at the Roverstore at Ewood Park.

Due to the specific requirements of the Family Season Ticket offer, transactions should be carried out at the Roverstore at Ewood Park.

As usual, direct debit instalment plans are available to help fans spread the cost. The ‘claim your own seat’ and direct debit deadline is Thursday June 30th.

Fans should retain their season ticket card for use next season.’

Full credit must go to Venky’s for this. Excellent news.
