Today marks the 20th Anniversary of the tragic event known as the Hillsborough Disaster. 96 fans from the Liverpool Football Club attended a FA Cup Semi Finals clash against Nottingham Forrest, at Hillsborough, and never returned to their families.

Most of us know the story by now, the crush at the Liverpool supporters end, causing the end to collapse. Several factors contributed to the disaster, but that is for another day.

We have shared many great battles against Liverpool FC, but, as Steven Warnock showed on the weekend, laying a wreath in front of ‘The Kop’, somethings are just more important then football.

So together, we mourn as one,
Vital Blackburn sends its condolences to all Liverpool FC Fans, family of the 96 supporters, and to all across the globe who have suffered.

‘We fight our battles on the field, but we mourn as one’

  • Well done Sasman a great tribute. we all love our football and think it is the be all and end all sometimes but things like this some us that there are things in life which are far more important. My condolences to the 96 who lost their lives and the families and friends who have to live with that for the rest of theirs.

  • Well said dude, a nice tribute to those that tragically lost their lives when this shouldn’t have happened. Condolences to the families of the 96 lost on that fatful day at Hillsborough.
