An outstanding first round tie will see Grimsby and Derby go again after the original tie was abandoned – leaving Barnsley awaiting the winners.
Several Premier League sides will look to avoid upset exits when they enter the competition on Tuesday – Crystal Palace, without a win under Frank De Boer, West Brom, Bournemouth, Brighton, Swansea, Leicester and Watford take on Ipswich, Accrington, Birmingham, Barnet, MK Dons, Sheffield United and Bristol City, respectively.
Wednesday evening will also see a number of Premier League sides facing lower league rivals, including a huge Lancashire derby between Blackburn and Burnley.
Others, seeking to avoid an early season upset, are West Ham, Huddersfield, Newcastle, Southampton and Stoke, facing Cheltenham, Rotherham, Nottingham Forest, Wolves and Rochdale – obviously some would be considered greater shocks than others.
