The League One season continued with the latest round of games played over the weekend.

Portsmouth and Bristol Rovers collected wins, which, in many ways, were needed when seeing off Wimbledon and Walsall, respectively, moving around the midtable areas.

A fourth successive Charlton win came against Southend, who continue to struggle, taking the Addicks up to second – Oldham are also struggling but did collect a first point on the campaign when collecting a good point at Fleetwood. However, the Latics now prop up the rest.

Northampton also put first points on the board; the Cobblers’ win against Doncaster took them above Oldham and Gillingham – heavily beaten at Oxford – and off the bottom of the League One table to 22nd.

Having dropped their first points in a draw in the previous game Peterborough suffered a first defeat when Bradford went away from London Road with a 3-1 win, taking the Bantams up to fourth and meaning Posh dropped from first to third.

Blackburn continued their winning run with a third straight win when winning at Struggling Rochdale.

The Scunthorpe unbeaten run was also continued but the Iron had to be content with a point against Blackpool. Meanwhile, Shrewsbury kept up their positive start as a win over Wigan not only ended the Latics’ own undefeated run it maintained the Shrews’ and took them top.

Here’s a round-up of the League One results.
