Stephen Warnock has laughed off reports that he is about to leave Rovers and flat out denied handing in any sort of transfer request – leading to the following question…

Where do the media get off on unsettling our club.

Earlier reports had been LYING saying that Warnock wanted to leave Rovers to get away from the ‘mutiny’ at Ewood. What a load of rubbish.

However, nothing could be further from the truth as Warnock told rovers.co.uk:’The reports are rubbish, I have not handed in a transfer request.’

Warnock committed his future to Rovers at the end of the last campaign when he signed a new four-year contract, when Mark Hughes was still manager. However, when Paul Ince was appointed the new manager after Hughes left for some Thai corruption Warnock was one of the first to say he was happy with life at Rovers.

He has attracted interest over the summer, with Newcastle United believed to have had a ridiculous £2million offer rejected.

It is very rarely you see me angry but this has hit a raw nerve to go with the rest of the utter nonsense we have had to put up with over the summer – I have a message to the doubters and the sources who make this stuff up…

YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THE LIES AND UNSETTLING, INFLAMATORY RUBBISH YOU WRITE ABOUT OUR PROUD CLUB AND OUR PLAYERS TRYING TO CREATE A SINKING SHIP OUT OF NOTHING BUT ARROGANCE ON YOUR PART.

WE MAY BE AN EASY TARGET DUE TO CLUB SIZE AND THE LACK OF FINANCES AVAILABLE BUT THE SEASON IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER AND WE ARE READY TO GO AGAIN, LOOK AT OUR STRONGEST TEAM –
