Blackburn Rovers have completed the signing of Turkish star Yildiray Basturk on a free transfer from Stuttgart.
The midfield playmaker comes in initially on a short term deal until the end of the season but there is every reason to suspect that the deal could be made extended if he is a success.
Basturk has found himself out of favour at Stuttgart this season and Blackburn have capitalised on that by moving for the International.
Although going off the boil in recent times, Basturk is renowned for being a super talented player and if Sam Allardyce can man-manage him back to anywhere near the level he used to be at then this could prove inspired.
Welcome to Ewood Park Yildiray Basturk

well thats a relief to have made a potentially good signing, maybe one more Samuel?
Yep welcome to Yildiray – potentially a really good signing. As for another player – it seems Gudjohnson is off to the Hammers, therefore it is almost inevitable we will sign Beattie if we sign a striker. Imo its a bit too much of a risk. If all goes well he could be pretty successful at Rovers this time round. On the other hand he could be a huge flop.
hehe, I just submit an article saying he might sign and as soon I as submit it he does :P. could be a good signing, but I dont understand why we need a creative midfielder when we are already making the chances but not putting them away.
Basturks our turkish delight!
Sam do need a creative midfield player because he only wants to play with one forward (Kalinci) then either Dunn or Basturks behind…..just wait and see…..cheer
“We’ve only got one Turk… One Turk…”!
Nice FN1… very nice.
This lad has a great reputation lets hope he lives up to it.
Turkish delight? My FAVOURITE! 😉
