The rumours doing the rounds are that Sam Allardyce and Blackburn Rovers are weighing up a £4million January move to bring striker Roque Santa Cruz back to Boll-Ewood Park – two years after he left the club for £17 million.
The Paraguayan sealed a high profile move to mega spenders Manchester City back in the summer of 2009 but has been something of a wonder flop since his arrival. With a rprice tag like that for a man with a history of injuries it was always going to be a struggle.
To make the rumours even saucier, Roque has told those close to him that he would welcome a move back to the club where he played the best football of his career.
So City want rid, Rovers want a striker to replace the guy they have never replaced properly and the price tag is £4 million (allegedly).
It could happen.
