Speculation linking Blackburn Rovers players with exits during Transfer Windows is something that we’ve become used to, however, Rudy Gestede being at the heart of this isn’t so common.

A return of twelve goals so far this season shouldn’t make interest in the giant Benin International striker too much of a surprise with The Daily Mirror carrying a report that says new West Bromwich Albion Manager Tony Pulis has “turned his focus” to Rudy??

International colleague Stephane Sessegnon’s presence at The Hawthorns could make things interesting if there’s any truth to this speculation, however, we’ve got to do all we can to keep the twenty-six-year-old until the end of the season at least as losing Rudy (or any of our key players) will impact dramatically on our bid to secure a place in The Championship play-off, which remains our minimum aim between now and the end of the season.

We’ve got to realistically expect player departures in the Summer if we’ve not been able to make it back into The Premier League, however, I’m hoping that our ambition to do this will see approaches resisted and the Rovers players have the intention of getting back into the top-flight with us so they’ll likewise show a little more patience and loyalty for at least six-month longer!!
