Shabani Nonda
Saturday 2nd verses Fulham, Ewood Park, Premiership (2-0 win)
With the Congolese striker in desperate need of a goal he finally got one after more than two-months of trying. Stephane Henchoz’s long ball from the back expertly picked out Nonda but whether he intended to bring the ball down and then shoot or if he intended the touch to be the goal scoring effort only he knows, but do we care! Morten Gamst Pedersen
Saturday 9th verses Newcastle United, Ewood Park, Premiership (3-1 defeat)
With the Norwegian very much out of form he needed to produce something, and that he did with a superb effort just into the second half. He picked up the ball, ran with it for a while them unleashed a venomous 25-yard drive into the top corner that left Shay Given helpless despite his best efforts, all of this with his right foot! Lucas Neill
Wednesday 13th verses Nancy, Ewood Park, UEFA Cup (1-0 win)
In the dying moments of the UEFA Cup group E clash against the run of play Rovers stole the win to top the group. With Nancy being unable to clear the ball if found its way to Neill who chested the ball down to give himself some space and time before drilling home giving the goalkeeper no chance. If Neill’s possible transfer from Ewood won’t be worth millions the goal certainly could. To see goal click here

David Bentley
Saturday 16th verses Reading, Madejski Stadium, Premiership (2-1 win)
After winning the ball back from John Oster on the half way line Bentley ran and ran and ran with the ball before unleashing an unstoppable 20-yard pile driver into the roof of the goal late on. To see goal click here

Benni McCarthy
Tuesday 26th verses Liverpool, Ewood Park, Premiership (1-0 win)
This was a great team goal, with a patient build up. Tugay’s tremendous skill then devilishly delightful through ball picked out Morten Gamst Pedersen in the box who then squared to the waiting McCarthy who smashed home from close range to give Rovers a priceless win. To see goal click here

Shabani Nonda
