Is the current Blackburn squad good enough to secure promotion from League One? Based on recent form you would say yes. However, Tony Mowbray could still look to add to this before the end of the month.

According to recent speculation, Fleetwood’s Amari’i Bell is a player of interest.

Fleetwood boss Uwe Rosler has revealed Blackburn have put in a bid for 23 year old full back Bell, who will be out of contract in the summer, an offer that’s being considered – the Cod Army are expected to cash in on the player this month.

He was quoted by Fleetwood Today: ‘As far as I know everything is well reported. There is a bid in from Blackburn Rovers, that is what I know.’

Despite the Blackburn interest it was decided Bell would be involved for Fleetwood against Southend and this decision paid off with his performance praise.

Rosler said: ‘You saw Amari’i playing on Saturday. He was absolutely committed. Obviously he had thoughts in his head but how professionally he played on Saturday. I’m delighted and I wasn’t sure I was going to start him after what I had read and heard.

Adding: ‘It was credit to him as a human being. It is not easy under those circumstances for a young player like that to think about his future. He has to make a decision, and still performing like he did I take my hat off to him. For me it was the performance of the day.’

These reports added ‘it is no secret that Fleetwood are looking to cash in on the full-back’ but will Blackburn’s bid be enough to tempt out League One rivals into parting with Bell?
