Rovers chairman John Williams has dispelled the myth that players cannot be bought into the club during the takeover process.
There has been a theory that during takeover talks players were unable to be purchased due to the uncertainty that surrounds the club but good old JW has clarified that is not the case.
Williams had a meeting with the Allardyce gang yesterday to discuss options and Big Sam has been told to press ahead with a signing now the money situation has been made clear.
John has also bought to light that a second list of potential signings has been drawn up should new investment come to fruition.
Williams spoke to the Lancashire Telegraph and said – “Obviously we are aware of fresh impetus with regards the potential sale of the club, with at least one potential new buyer being identified.
“In the event of a successful sale, and money being made available, we do have a list of players available in the back of our minds.
“But in the meantime we have a job of work to do and we are not allowing any talk regarding potential new ownership put us off that.
“We will continue to go on as we are and we are still weighing up different options we have available to us.”
Hope that clears that up gang.

You cannot beat a good old JW clarification statement!!!
straight to the point, as always, well done! i wonder what the haters will say now!
good man!
Good old JW, any idea of how much extra £ the potential take over would bring? are we talking a few million? or a very significant figure?
Must be at least one new player in by the end of the month then hopefully.
