This weeks article from Big Sam could just be the biggest hint that a Rovers takeover is about to go ahead because it’s the equivalent of a covering letter sent with a CV to a potential employer.

Big takeovers like the one we’re about to have foisted upon us never end well for the incumbent manager.

I think Hughes at Manchester City is the probably the longest serving manager after a big money takeover.

Seriously, who would trust Big Sam to spend £100m?

His history doesn’t paint a good picture when he had money to spend at Newcastle, and his scouting network must be set up to find bargains at bargain prices and as soon as those clubs see Sam has money … the price of their average players would rise to suit.

So who can blame Sam for getting himself noticed and in the minds of chairmen looking for a new manager?
