It is understood that Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder is on the verge of a move to the Premier League, and Ewood Park could be his destination?!?!
The England Under-21 International is regarded as one of the most highly rated prospects outside of the Premier League and talk of a move to a Premier League side has grown over the last two-years with his former Grays Athletic manager Mick Woodward claiming that a move to the Premier league is imminent with Rovers one of three clubs chasing him, Everton and West Ham United the others (according to Woodward anyway!!!).
Woodward told The Non-League Paper: “I think you’ll see Michael Kightly move very shortly.
“I know Everton, West Ham and Blackburn have come in for him and a club has put a £4 million bid in already.
“People will see who they can get rid of first. West Ham are going to have a good clear-out because they’ve got too many ‘Big-Time Charlies’ and they want players who are hungry.
“Kightly fits that bill perfectly.”
