With YOUR help Vital Blackburn has been trying to determine what have been the best and worst of the Blackburn Rovers 2007-2008 season.

The nominations are still be taken for other Awards, but the Vital Blackburn Awards for 2007-2008 continue to be dished out with the WORST TEAM FACED BY ROVERS THIS SEASON.

THE WINNER: DERBY COUNTY.

When asked to simply leave the name of the team you believe have been the WORST Team faced by Rovers this season most felt Derby County should be the Award Winner, so (unwanted) congratulations go to Derby for being the best worst team to face us!!!

Without wanting to be overly cruel to the Rams they were probably the worst team in Premier League history, so it is little surprise that they were seen (and quite unanimously) as the worst team we faced. However, this didn’t stop them from taking the lead against us at both Ewood Park and Pride Park (I’m pretty certain they did in both matches?!?!) before we went on to do the double over them.

Good luck to them (and of course Robbie Savage) next season though; if they do return to the Premier League when we face them again I’m sure that they will have improved markedly.

  • Shocking choice, the Rams where awesome IMHO. Worst team of the year should have been the Gooners for doing there normal, and believeing the seasons only 6-7 months long.

WE LOVE U DERBY, EVERYONE GOT A GARUNTEED 6 POINTS, COME BACK SOON

    ROFL

  • Sav had a good game that day. But we should of still won about 7-1 in the end. Deserved award as much as I like Derby.

  • Indeed Decimus LOL. Derby did have some decent players and that included a few Rovers cast offs but they never got things together did they.

  • All I can say is this its no wonder they never got going at least under Davies he encouraged them. Jewell took every oppurtunity to tell them they where not good enough, publicly. If I had been a Derby player, Jewell would have got a face full of ball everytime I had possesion!

  • LMAO not quite what I meant, but evry man has there price! The way Jewell spoke about his players was disgraceful I’m surprised the PFA did not tell him to shut his gob although not while I’m in possesion EEK
