Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce’s bid to sign Russian striker Pavel Pogrebnyak is at full speed – and the price is £9 million.

Allardyce went to watch the forward play for Zenit St Petersburg on Saturday and left Neil McDonald in charge for the friendly away at Leeds.

Allardyce has now been informed that Zenit St.Petersburg want £9 million for their star striker even though he has only a year left to run on his contract in Russia.

Forget the fact that he appears a bit arrogant after his rant in January, forget that he has only a year left on his contract. Sam is being charged in my opinion £6 million less than he should because of the fact he has only a year left on his deal.

In an inflated market from ‘The Pog’ we are getting value for money which is difficult nowadays.

Sam – pay the £9 million, sign him up and get him on board.
