Dunn Is Big Sam’s Main Man

Blackburn Rovers manager Sam Allardyce has identified David Dunn as his main man for Rovers this season.

Dunn is being deployed in a role behind the striker this season, with Allardyce calling the midfielders role the Steven Gerrard role with Big Sam also backing the 29-year-old to blossom even further.

Allardyce told Sky Sports: “David’s skill and talent is what we need on a weekly basis.

“I think we’ve found a position for him that will cause a lot of problems. We have four strikers with David taking up a Steven Gerrard role.

“David has blossomed into one hell of a creative player with two goals from three games.

“He’s opening up defences. The flair players like David and (El-Hadji) Diouf make a big difference when they use their skills in the right areas.
