Blackburn Close In On Conway

Blackburn Rovers might lose skipper Scott Dann on Transfer Deadline Day but speculation grows that Craig Conway is close to coming to Ewood Park.

The defender might, or might not, be holding talks with Premier League side Crystal Palace with Blackburn might, or might not, be close to a deal that would see Conway leaving the Premier League to become another Cardiff City player to sign for us this season.

It adds a little excitement to what’s usually an overly hyped day though!!

The Lancashire Telegraph tells us that Gary Bowyer is keen to bring in winger Conway and a deal for the 28-year-old (who will be out of contract at the end of the season) is close with Rovers beating his former loan side Brighton & Hove Albion to sign him up on a permanent contract with Brighton wanting him back on loan again.

In what could be a twist to the possible Dann departure some speculation is saying that Cardiff are also showing an interest so maybe Conway arriving would be in a player plus cash swap deal??

Luke Varney is another that speculation continues to link with Rovers and he’s apparently keen to come to Ewood but I’m not so sure about that one and if I had to pick one of these two players to sign today it would be Conway as the potential of such a deal is exciting as I’m a big fan of wingers.
