With the Congolese striker in desperate need of a goal he finally got one after more than two-months of trying. Stephane Henchoz’s long ball from the back expertly picked out Nonda but whether he intended to bring the ball down and then shoot or if he intended the touch to be the goal scoring effort only he knows, but do we care! In the dying moments of the UEFA Cup group E clash against the run of play Rovers stole the win to top the group. With Nancy being unable to clear the ball if found its way to Neill who chested the ball down to give himself some space and time before drilling home giving the goalkeeper no chance. If Neill’s possible transfer from Ewood won’t be worth millions the goal certainly could. To see goal click here

?you voted in favour of David Bentley with 56%, deciding his strike on Saturday 16th against Tottenham Hotspur at the Madejski Stadium in the Premiership was the best.

Bentley’s goal was a worthy winner not only because of the sheer quality of the strike but also because of its importance. The strike gave us three valuable points at a time they were very, very, very much needed when it looked like we wouldn’t get them having already seen three goals disallowed in this match.

So in summary
Nonda v Fulham (h) – 12%
Pedersen v Newcastle (h) – 10%
Neill v Nancy (h) – 8%
Bentley v Reading (h) – 56%
McCarthy v Liverpool (h) – 6%
Nonda v Middlesbrough (h) – 8%
