Blackburn were relegated from the Championship last season but confidence is high of an instant return.

Having dropped into the third tier of English football for the first time in over 30 years, many are more familiar with Blackburn playing Premier League football – in fact winning it – and definitely Championship level.

It is what it is though and playing at such a level, basically for the first time in a generation really, is what Rovers will be doing during the upcoming season.

Confidence is not only high of an instant return, doing so as League One champions is fancied.

Vital Blackburn’s poll asked
Will Blackburn bounce back?

How the Vital Blackburn members voted
Yes, as League One champions 68%
No 22%
Yes, as runners up 5%
Yes, via the play-offs 5%

This is wanted, as I said fancied even, but it’ll NOT be easy.

Blackburn’s dropping into League One has cost the club several players, not merely during the summer but in recent times, and could yet mean others are lured away from Ewood Park?

However, if anyone wants Darragh Lenihan – recently linked with Sheffield United – they’ll have to pay £5m, according to Alan Nixon.

The journalist doesn’t allow just anyone to view his social media posts so I’ll have to take the word of Football League World when it comes to Lenihan, 23, and his valuation.

What should Rovers do though?

Vital Blackburn’s poll asks
Should Blackburn sell Lenihan?

What the Vital Blackburn members can vote
Yes
Yes, but ONLY for the claimed £5m
No, he’s Rovers’ future
It doesn’t really matter what we think!
