Rovers manager Gary Bowyer has flown out to Pune to take part in the next round of transfer discussions with Blackburn owners Venky’s.

Seemingly unaware of such devices as Skype and iPhone FaceTime, the owners and Bowyer have again met up to discuss the next round of transfer activity.

No doubt that Rovers will again be pressing hard to get the likes of Leon Best and a handful of stray Portuguese players out of the door anyway that they can before the end of January but discussions can again turn to who they would like to bring in.

Temporary deals are likely to be the order of the day with the club keen to bring their day to day running costs down, but names such as Martyn Waghorn and Matty Fryatt have been tentatively linked.
